Hey, I’m Madhav.
I’m an second-year Electrical Engineering student at Georgia Tech.
About
Hello! My name is Madhav Gulati and I am a second-year Electrical Engineering major at Georgia Tech with threads in Telecommunications and Bioengineering. I am studying electrical engineering because I’ve always had a fascination with understanding how electronics and devices work from a physical and mathematical standpoint. The purpose of this website is to document my own experiences and projects – inside and outside of class – throughout college.
I have lived in Georgia my whole life, and am from a city called Suwanee. I love all things music, and play the guitar and many other instruments. I have a jazz background, having led a band for 4 years in high school, and am a member of Jazz Combos at GT. I love going to the gym to beat new PRs, and occasionally go on runs. I even ran the 2024 Publix Half-Marathon in February!
One of my goals as an engineer is to improve accessibility and equity of scientific tools. I believe that people can build amazing things when they have the tools and resources in science and engineering. However, in a variety of fields expensive equipment and other cost barriers prevent the average student or underfunded researcher from accessing the tools to participate in research. As a student of the biotechnology pathway in my high school, I developed several low-cost alternatives to commercial biomedical devices, costing less than 1% of their counterparts. The devices are open-source, and can be made with 3D-printed parts and easily accessible materials. In the future, I will pursue more initiatives to make STEM and research more accessible to all.
I have been told that I have strong technical skills, and work effectively both as an individual and in team settings. Feel free to reach out to me to chat, or for any other reason. I look forward to meeting you!
